Fields of Dreams

To get all six fields at Soldiers Creek Park into one aerial shot requires an altitude of about 1,400 feet. Problem. The legal limit I can fly a drone is 400 feet. So, you’re probably asking yourself, “why in the world would Charles take a chance on losing his FAA license just to get this shot?” Not so fast my friends. Personally I can’t believe any of you would suspect that I would ever break a rule, but anyway, I didn’t.

To get this shot I flew my drone to the maximum legal altitude of 400 feet, which basically gave me a view of the building in the center out to the home plates. Next, I took a series of 9 separate photos to get everything I needed and then those images were composited into one single photo in Photoshop.
